Delighted to have you visit. This is how to get here:

Please note: If these directions have proven a little vague, and you get lost (they were written by Rachel - HELP!) Just Call Mike or Jo on +64 6 870 4777 and we will guide you in - or come and get you!

By Car From Napier (and the Airport and points North)

When you drive into Napier from the north you pass the airport, so if you are getting off a plane this applies to you as well. Stay on the expressway, and keep going. You will pass through a number of roundabouts. Keep going straight. You will go over an over pass and come to a set of lights just out of Taradale. Keep going straight. Go through another set of lights then take the next right into Links Road. At the end of that street you are at a T intersection. Turn left (surely this would a whole lot easier if you brought a map) Keep going straight. You will pass through a little settlement called Omahu, go over a bridge and around a bend. Then you can turn right into State Highway 50. You will pass a 75kph bend and before you know it Gimblett Road is on your left. Turn into this Road and 1.24km down on the right hand side is Hatton Estate. It was a long road but we got there in the end, and the wine will make your travels worth while.

By Car From Hastings

From Heretaunga Street you come to a big round about, go straight and like magic it turns into Omahu Road. Head north like you are trying to get to Fernhill. Pass a number of roads like Chatham and Kirkward on your left, but keep going until you get the option of turning left into State Highway 50. Take that left and go past all the pretty vineyards, you go through a 75kph bend and Gimblett Road is on your left. Turn there and travel 1.24km and we will be waiting on the right hand side with a smile and a glass of wine.

By Car From Havelock North

Find Te Aute Road (it shouldn't be hard as it is a big road) and get travelling until you come across Longlands Road East. Get on it and keep on keeping on until it turns into Longlands Road West, then like magic it turns into Maraekakaho Road. Head down that road, going past the golf course. Turn right into Ngatarawa Road and drive past the aerodrome. Keep going straight all the way to the end. You should now be at a T intersection on State Highway 50. Go right; pass Trinity Hill and Te Awa and the world famous Gimblett Road is in your right. 1.24kn down that road is the wonderful Hatton Estate where we will welcome you with open arms and some tasty wine.

From the South (Wellington and surrounding towns)

If you can get to Dannevirke it is really easy. You will be on State Highway 2. Drive for a while. You will pass a sign on your left saying welcome to Waipukurau, or something to that effect. Just after this sigh there is a left hand turn into State Highway 50. Get on that Road. You will drive for ages, over 3 one lane bridges and past some beautiful Hawkes Bay farm land. After what seems like forever you go past a monument on your left. You will then pass an amazing old black wool shed on your right. don't miss it, as it is historic and gorgeous. You will then pass an insignificant street on the right called Valley Road. S.H 50 takes a left hand turn just after this. (if you keep going straight it turns into Maraekakaho Road) Drive past Trinity HIll and Te Awa and the world famous Gimblett Road is in your right. 1.24kn down that road is the wonderful Hatton Estate where we will await your arrival with some delicious wine.

By Aeroplane/ Helicopter

You can park your chopper or private jet in two places. Napier airport (see above for directions) or the Bridge Pa Aerodrome. As none of us here at Hatton have much experience piloting light aircraft we will leave the co-ordinates up to you. We would hate to be responsible for landing you in the ocean.

By Sea

If you are arriving on a cruise ship firstly lucky you! Secondly you will be arriving at the Port of Napier, so getting to Hatton is really easy. The port is on Breakwater Road, and there are a number of ways to get to us, but in the interest of things to see we will take you the ocean route, so here goes: Turn onto Breakwater Road and go left. This Road will lead you onto Marine Parade, passing local icons like Pania of the Reef and The Spirit of Napier. Just keep driving. You will go from a 50kph zone into a 100kph zone. After a few minutes at this speed you will get the option to turn right. Take it. After going over the railway lines and around a bend, you will now want to turn left into Awatoto Road. Follow it all the way to the end and turn right into Meeanne Road (This is a 70kph Road). When you get to the intersection with the lights turn left and go straight. After the next set of lights you can turn right, into Links Road. You will pass a Dressage arena on your left, then at the end of that street go left (surely this this would a whole lot easier if you brought a map). Keep going straight.
