After the last newsletter it seems most of you ate so much you couldn't move. So you parked yourselves in front of the computer and sent us emails to tell us all about it. Fantastic!

Thankfully because of this our argument has been settled. Jo was declared the undisputed winner of 2006 for winter wine and food matching, with 74% of your votes.

If you still haven't had a chance to make the winning recipe, or the other fabulous entries, all recipes are now posted for everyone to see on the website. Check them out here.

In amongst the feedback we noticed there was a small group of you who are sweltering in the midst of a very hot summer up in the northern hemisphere, so in aid of fairness, and the reality that no one wants to be cooking lamb shanks in 40 degree heat, we have searched out a few tasty summertime treats for you to whip up, married of course with some delicious Hatton Estate wine.
