EC2 Chardonnay - 2007
Colour: Pale straw yellow
Aroma: Ripe Chardonnay with a touch of grapefruit and mandarin.
Palate: Fruity, good balanced acidity, notes of lime, apple, watermelon and grapefruit. Bright across the palate- crisp and refreshing with a good clean finish.
Winemaker’s notes: The Chardonnay was harvested in two parcels fermented separately in stainless steel with constant lees stirring to bring out the complexity and mid palate weight. Nailed that Crayfish match again- get the boat out!
Food match: Try EC2 Chardonnay with seafood, especially scallops, oysters and lobster or risotto and lightly spiced Asian dishes.
Cellar potential: to 2012
