Selection
Hatton Estate Gimblett Road Tahi 2000 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Using the Maori word for number one, Tahi, Hatton Estate work a severe selection of grapes from their own vineyards and then are rigorous in their selection process for the barrels to go into this top label. They have been rewarded with some top listings in European restaurants and premium wine shops. The 1998 was outstanding. The 2000 is a nicely warm style, still fresh but opening very well to offer the complex, yet quite robust style being sought. A premium label destined to become something of a HB icon.
